A risk heatmap is a graphical representation of the risks associated with a project or activity. It is a tool that is used to visualize the likelihood and impact of risks on a project, and to help prioritize risk management efforts.

Risks are plotted on a grid, with the likelihood of the risk occurring on one axis and the impact of the risk on the other axis. Risks that are considered to be high likelihood and high impact are plotted in the top right corner of the grid, while risks that are low likelihood and low impact are plotted in the bottom left corner.

It helps to ensure that resources are focused on the most critical risks, and that risk management efforts are aligned with the overall goals of the project.
